During this period, the filter media will capture or trap the contaminants using two methods:\n<br><br>\n<ol>\n \t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n \t<li><strong>Surface retention.<\/strong>\u00a0This simply means the dirt and particles are held near the surface of the filtering media; and<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Depth retention.<\/strong>\u00a0This means the contaminants are trapped or held within the deep passages of the filtering media.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nThe oil will then flow towards the central tube where the clean oil is pumped back into the engine via the threaded hollow center mounting stud of the oil filter.\n<br><br>\nPremium Guard\u2019s Extended Life media is engineered to achieve optimal performance that combines capacity, efficiency and high flow.
